Scholarships & Financial Assistance

The davidji Meditation Academy is committed to making a significant investment in our communities, and as such are committed to making davidji’s retreats and Masters of Wisdom & Meditation Teacher Training program possible for individuals who may not otherwise be able to enroll. We are honored to offer several full and partial scholarships, as well as tuition support, to assist students who want to learn to share meditation and mindfulness practices with people in their unique communities. We evaluate scholarship and financial assistance based on need and the established scholarship criteria.

India Arie I am Light Scholarship

The India Arie I Am Light Scholarship is a powerful collaboration between Grammy Award-winning artist India Arie and the davidji Meditation Academy. Created to uplift and empower the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community, this scholarship honors individuals who radiate light, authenticity, and a deep commitment to healing and service. India Arie personally selects a recipient twice per year based on the qualities of  resilience, compassion, spiritual depth, and a genuine desire to guide others on a path of transformation.

Inspired by India Arie’s song I Am Light, this scholarship is more than just financial support. It is a sacred opportunity for emerging leaders in BIPOC communities to deepen their spiritual practice, cultivate mindfulness, and gain the skills needed to teach and inspire others.

Recipients of the scholarship are not only trained as certified meditation teachers—they become beacons of light, helping others access peace, purpose, and presence in their own lives.

The Robin Kraut Resilience Scholarship

The Robin Kraut Resilience Scholarship was created in loving memory of Robin Kraut, a davidji Certified Meditation Teacher who inspired many through her unwavering strength, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to mindfulness. This scholarship supports individuals who, like Robin, embody resilience, compassion, and a commitment to spiritual growth.

Applicants must demonstrate a sincere interest in deepening their meditation practice and a heartfelt desire to share this wisdom with others. The committee selects individuals twice per year who reflect the same inspiring energy that Robin brought to her life and teaching: strength through adversity, kindness in presence, a peaceful heart, and the courage to lead with authenticity.

Robin’s legacy lives on through this scholarship, and is especially meaningful for those who have faced life’s challenges with grace and are now called to serve others on their path to healing and awakening.
