There are many paths to one-ness. Literally thousands of schools and philosophies of meditation exist, each with a unique technique or way of helping to experience present-moment awareness. davidji celebrates them all, and this teacher training honors every tool, technology, and body of knowledge that can help you quiet the fluctuations of the mind and achieve deeper meaning, purpose, peace, and fulfillment in your life.
In this training, davidji combines different types of meditation, group discussions, energy work, chanting, dancing, lectures on the soul, teachings from the Vedas, and group interaction, which interweaves the physical, emotional, and spiritual components of meditation into a very personal journey, traveling from your most ego-based, individual Self to the most divine and cosmic aspects of your universal Self.
I am not a teacher, but an awakener. ―Robert Frost

What Certified Teachers Say about Their Experience in the Training
“Do it. Do it. Do it. Don’t think twice. Allow it. It’s a beautiful experience.” ~Kim Snyder-Sterrs, Belfast, Maine
Do I need a certain level of experience before taking this course? All you need for meditation teacher training is an open mind and open heart, and the willingness to start a meditation practice.
Where does the workshop take place? You will experience the natural and peaceful setting at the Meditation Nest, a private retreat just steps from the sand, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Carlsbad, Calif. We call this the “SweetSpot of the Universe.” It’s a 30-minute drive from the San Diego International Airport by taxi, car service or rental car, which you will need to arrange. You will receive detailed driving instructions and an address in your registration confirmation packet.
How much is tuition, and what does it include? The early bird rate – available for the first ten students to register – is $3976. Standard tuition is $4,375. We offer a flexible payment plan of 6 payments of $637.50 per month while the early bird rate applies. Tuition includes a course overview, required reading list and online webinar schedule. You will also receive a signed copy of “Secrets of Mediation” and a one-on-one Skype session with davidji. When you’ve completed the workshop, you will take home a Meditation Teacher Training Certificate, course workbook, and have access to ongoing teacher resources including regular teacher only webinars with davidji. Travel, lodging and meals are not included in the cost of tuition.
Are there exams? There will not be a test or exam, however all Teachers in Training must submit a letter prior to the workshop explaining their goals and intentions. Details and instructions for this will be discussed during the first webinar.
Will there be guest teachers or other activities scheduled? Together we will practice several different styles of yoga and meditation every morning and evening. There will also be guest speakers and instructors
What should I pack? Comfortable, casual clothes such as yoga pants, sweats, flip flops and running shoes. Layers are good in case the weather turns chilly, which happens often on the coast. Other items to pack: a blank journal, light reading, toiletries and any comforts of home.
Can I bring my own food? Yes! There is plenty of space for you to store your personal food preferences and dietary supplements. Light snacks and beverages will be available to you daily. We will provide you with recommended local eateries and information.
Will I have designated free time? The schedule is pretty full, but you will have time for reflection, personal journaling and meals on your own.
How many people are enrolled in each training? To allow for the most personal connection among students and davidji during the months leading up to our week together, we close registration at around 30 students.
Will the training ever be moved to the East Coast or Europe? There is always that possibility, and we are forever open to opportunities.
Attendees are encouraged to stay at The Meditation Nest to better immerse in the program, which begins at sunrise each day and ends well after sunset. Rooms in The Nest range from $180 per night for shared accommodations to $265 for private rooms, are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, and sell out quickly. If you wish to stay on site, remaining rooms available will pop up during the registration process so you can choose and pay for your lodging at that time. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a refund or credit for cancelled room bookings. Please contact our Events Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
Some students also choose to stay at one of the hotels close to the Nest; three hotels in particular are within two blocks of the Meditation Nest. The Carlsbadinn.com is a nice hotel literally across the street; the beachterraceinn.com is on the beach and is also very nice; and oceanpalms.com is the most affordable and across the street from the Nest.
Payment Plans and Cancellation We have set up a convenient monthly payment plan option that you may choose during registration. Installments will be debited automatically each month until the balance is paid in full. If a monthly payment is declined a $25 service fee will be added to the balance. You may cancel your registration within 7 days of registration and receive a full refund, unless your have opted for a payment plan. After the 7 day grace period, or if you have selected a payment plan, you will receive a credit voucher for your tuition payment (room bookings are not eligible for a refund or credit) to be used for a future Teacher Training, as long as the cancellation is more than 30 days prior to the start of Teacher Training.
